The SufferJets have been playing roller derby since 2008 when the Ithaca League of Women Rollers was founded. After serving in the WFTDA apprentice program, the ILWR was accepted as a full member in 2011, and is currently ranked 100 out of 177 member leagues.

Still flying high from the exciting competition at the East Coast Derby Extravangaza in Philly we are ecstatic to head to Florida to compete in Franky Panky, a two day tournament hosted by Tampa Roller Derby. We will be taking on the hosts themselves, Tampa Roller Derby; the Tallahassee Rollergirls, and the Queen City Rollers.

Your contribution will not only help us fund our travel to Floriday but also keep us healthy and in good spirits all weekend!

What We Need & What You Get

  • We’re bringing 14 skaters and two bench coaches, that’s $2,800 in airfare alone!
  • Four hotel rooms for 16 ladies for the weekend adds an additional $1,000.
  • The $1,200 extra that we’re asking for will provide healthy meal options to keep the team fueled and strong for the weekend.
  • Ever wanted to join the ILWR family? This is a great opportunity to do so! Even if we don’t meet our full goal, every little bit helps the SufferJets travel to Florida and represent the fine city of Ithaca.

Other Ways You Can Help

Thanks for your help and we look forward to wearing out fancy pants at Franky Panky!
