The Community Foundation’s Women’s Fund recently awarded the Ithaca League of Women Rollers a grant that will allow them to launch a skater scholarship program. ILWR will use this award to support two low-income skaters who would otherwise be unable to pursue the sport of roller derby.
An award ceremony was held at the 10th Annual Women’s Fund Luncheon with keynote speaker Kathleen Loehr, Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Fundraising and Development for Orr Associates. ILWR was among 12 local organizations awarded a grant.
